Thomas Allen is Hiring a Residential Program Director/ Assistant Program Director!

LOCATION: Office in West St. Paul with regular travel to Bloomington, St. Paul, and New Brighton.

HOURS AVAILABLE: Full-time, generally 8am - 4:30 but flexibility is needed to meet the needs of locations you'll oversee. 25 hours Program Director and 15 hours Assistant Program Director.

JOB SUMMARY: As a Program Director, you will oversee the delivery of services in 3 community residential settings. You are responsible for the overall planning, quality control, regulatory compliance, and general oversight of divisions assigned.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  • Ensure quality provision of services
  • Maintain a current understanding of the licensing requirements sufficient to ensure compliance throughout the divisions assigned. Attend licensing visit and complete all requested documents
  • Coordinate all associated licensing and operations of assigned divisions
  • Oversee the implementation of corrective action identified as necessary following licensing, or the review of incident, emergency, and VA maltreatment reports
  • Coordinate and follow up on the maintenance needs of assigned divisions
  • Supervise program managers
  • Develop and perform training as needed
  • Ensure staff competency requirements are met and staff orientation and training is provided
  • Assist with the hiring process
  • Oversee financial systems related to assigned divisions
  • Review, approve timecards, expense reports, and division expenses
  • Assist with Designated Coordinator duties for homes to provide supervision, support, and evaluation of activities
  • Oversee the schedule for the semi-annual Utilization Review for assigned ICF, where applicable, and provide a summary
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services that qualifies as a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) AND 3 years of professional supervisory-level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with a disability or persons age 65 and older
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must demonstrate competency in the completion of the above-noted job responsibilities
  • Individual must be mature, polite, competent, and possess team playing abilities, effective listening skills, and strong overall social and communication skills
  • Department of Human Services background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience in the development and management of supervised living services and Community Residential Services
  • Experience working with individuals with physical, medical, and behavioral needs
  • Policy writing
  • Experience in the investigative process of VA situations
  • Referral process experience
  • Facilitating support team meetings
  • Financial management, including securing and/or maintaining financial benefits for persons served
  • Experience with the monitoring of psychotropic medications
