Thomas Allen is Hiring for a Residential Program Manager!

LOCATION:  Our new location in Eagan!

HOURS AVAILABLE: 10 hours/week (flexible)

JOB SUMMARY: Provide supervision to a small staff team and oversight to a 2 person apartment program in Eagan. Both supported individuals are learning to become more independent in their first apartment. This position requires a highly motivated and self directed individual. Applicants should meet the minimum requirements to be a Designated Coordinator. Hours are flexible, but there are some required trainings/meetings that occur during business hours. Previous supervisory experience a plus, but not required. Hours can be combined with other positions to be full-time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must meet qualifications of a Designated Coordinator:
  1. A baccalaureate (BA) degree in a field related to human services and 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older
  2. OR an associate (AA) degree in a field related to human services and 2 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older
  3. OR a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited postsecondary institution and 3 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or person age 65 of older
  4. OR a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and 4 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to person with disabilities or persons age 65 and older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in 1 to 3 above
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Willing to commit to and implement person-centered supports
  • Must demonstrate competency in the completion of the above noted job responsibilities
  • Willingness to attend to personal cares and health needs, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
  • Must be mature, polite, and possess team playing abilities
  • Must possess effective listing skills and strong overall social and communication skills
  • Department of Human Services background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally
