CM - DD - Financial Case Manager

JOB SUMMARY: As a Financial Case Manager, you will have the primary responsibility of providing financial guidance to a population of vulnerable adults.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Establish a professional working relationship with the individuals served and initiate and maintain contact with the individual's family members or other informal caregivers to ensure that both formal and informal services are being provided
• Establish a safe and organized place to keep all cash, checking and savings account books, financial records, statements, and current bills
• Monitor and guide the individual in paying bills and in the use of the checking and savings accounts. Advise on making purchases and serve as an advocate for the individual
• Attend meetings and training
• Documentation and recordkeeping
• Complete other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's in Social Work or a related field such as Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services
• Must have at least 2 years full-time professional experience working with vulnerable populations in the areas of education, treatment, and/or financial management
• Computer knowledge and strong math skills are essential
• Background clearance
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, written and verbally
• Driver's license, reliable vehicle you can use for work purposes, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
• Willing to drive own vehicle to perform job duties
• Must be at least 18 years of age
