LOCATION:

HOURS AVAILABLE: Part-time

JOB SUMMARY: The Social Work License Supervisor will provide all individual and group supervision for case managers and care coordinators in need of supervision under the Minnesota Board of Social Work standards.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide all individual and group supervision to all case manager and care coordination personnel in need of supervision at the LSW, LGSW, LISW, and LICSW level
• Remain abreast of county, state, and health plan changes to facilitate knowledgeable discussion with supervisees during individual and group supervision
• Meet with the Program Directors to discuss training and supervision needs within each department and any needed revisions or additions to the training calendar, orientation sessions, or management training/meeting agendas
• Remain abreast of the Minnesota Board of Social Work regulations in regards to supervision for social worker licensed at all levels
• Maintain a strong relationship with the Board of Social Work. Act as a liaison between the case managers, care coordinators, the Board of Social Work, and Thomas Allen
• Complete supervision plans for the Board of Social Work for case managers/care coordinators upon hire and at the time of license renewal or application
• Meet with the case managers/care coordinators' direct supervisor(s) as needed to discuss the status of supervision and assist with establishing performance review goals
• Network with other providers, schools, county, and state officials, etc. to remain abreast of innovative, current training needs and opportunities as well as develop a pool of cost-effective training presenters and other resources
• Attend Continuing Education that is relevant to case management, care coordination, and the clientele served in LTC, DD, and Managed Care
• Apply for applicable licensing credits for attendees of training seminars, and ensure completion of attendee certificates
• Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be an active Licensed Social Worker at the Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker level (LICSW) and approved by the Minnesota Board of Social Work (BOSW) to provide licensure supervision
• Must also have "attested" on MN BOSW as a licensing supervisor. 30 hours of supervision training is therefore required as in compliance with BOSW guidelines.
• Must be in good standing with the Minnesota Board of Social Work and professional ethics requirements
• At least 3 years of professional experience working with persons with SPMI and DD diagnoses
• Knowledge of case management required
• Background clearance
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, written and verbally
• Driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
