Thomas Allen is Hiring an Assistant Administrator - Residential!

LOCATION: Flexible office options; work-from-home or the West St. Paul office.

HOURS AVAILABLE: 25 hours/week Assistant Administrator and 15 hours/week PD

JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Administrator has the primary responsibility to assist the Administrator in maintaining the smooth operation of all Thomas Allen's residential and employment services. You will also serve as Program Director over 3 community residential settings. This means you will be responsible for the overall planning, quality control, regulatory compliance, and general oversight of the assigned divisions.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

  • Oversee the RN Consultant program and staff. This includes managing nurses, hiring, and ensuring licensing and training is up-to-date, among other duties
  • Generally overseeing PD audits, Maltreatment reports, and participation in consultation and problem-solving with Residential PDs
  • Policy development, assessment, and revision
  • Assist Administrator with various financial/budgetary tasks pertaining to the residential side of the company
  • Coordinate all associated licensing and operations of assigned divisions and assist with other licensing tasks
  • Supervise program managers of assigned divisions and assistant program director
  • Develop and perform trainings as needed
  • Oversee financial systems related to assigned divisions
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Baccalaureate degree in a field related to human services that qualifies as a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional) AND 5 years of professional supervisory-level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with a disability or persons age 65 and older
  • Comprehensive understanding of MN Statute 245D, 245A and 245C
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must demonstrate competency in the completion of the above noted job responsibilities
  • Ability to utilize computer programs and applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and database management.
  • Exceptional ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Superior organizational skills
  • High level of integrity, competency and sense of urgency
  • Teamwork and effective listing skills; strong overall social and communication skills
  • Must be mature, polite, competent, and possess team playing abilities, effective listening skills and strong overall social and communication skills
  • Department of Human Services background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable vehicle you can use for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED:

  • Experience in the development and management of supervised living services and Community Residential Services
  • Experience working with individuals with physical, medical, and behavioral needs
  • Policy writing
  • Experience in the investigative process of VA situations
  • Referral process experience
  • Facilitating support team meetings
  • Experience with Microsoft Expression Web
  • Financial management, including securing and/or maintaining financial benefits for persons served
  • Experience with the monitoring of psychotropic medications
