CO - FIN - Finance Operations Manager

Thomas Allen is Hiring an Financial Operations Manager!

LOCATION: West St. Paul, MN

HOURS AVAILABLE: Full-time, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY: The Financial Operations Manager will primarily be responsible for managing, training, hiring, assisting, and promoting individual growth for a team of payroll specialist, billing specialists, accounting/billing specialists, and accounts receivable specialists.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  1. Oversee the daily processes and procedures of claim submissions, payroll, and accounts payable
  2. Manage and supervise all billing activity for a team of billers
  3. Assist with month end closing of AR, AP, and A&D
  4. Process all billing write offs and adjustments
  5. Complete all accounting and bank reconciliation related tasks
  6. Conduct account research, analysis, and reports
  7. Process and submit statements and invoices
  8. Assist in documenting policy and procedures for the department
  9. And all other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for a billing department
  • Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Strong leadership, analytical, investigative, problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to ensure the completion of assignments in a timely and productive manner
  • Ability to develop a team through strong leadership skills
  • Ability to manage and address a large volume of emails
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Cultural competence to work effectively with a wide variety of people
  • Knowledge of HCBS and related AR processes preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • 4+ years of managerial experience
  • 2+ years of medical or home care billing experience
  • 2+ years of finance or accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally
