CO - FIN - Payroll Coordinator

Thomas Allen's Finance Division is Hiring!

 

LOCATION:  West St. Paul, MN

HOURS AVAILABLE:  Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:  In this position, you will perform payroll and benefit related tasks biweekly. You will also be responsible for banking, reconciling of accounts, government reporting and other finance department functions. This position is tactical and hands-on. You will thrive in this role if you are detail-oriented and talented at handling many responsibilities in a cyclical environment.  

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Payroll: Enter pay changes, enroll new hires into 401k plan, enter and track benefits deductions, process all employee time cards, track PTO & Sick/Leave Time, process garnishments or other adjustments. Run various reports and answer all employee questions concerning payroll.

  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor accounts, calculate payments that we are a representative payee for, send invoices, document funds received and reconcile, monitor and reconcile various transactions related to persons served.

  • Other: Monitor Thomas Allen bank accounts, ensure payments received are correct, prepare various reports, process government tax reporting, deal with client service agreements, other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance
  • 2-4 years of payroll and benefits experience
  • Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and address concerns independently and with appropriate demeanor
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Background clearance
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, written and verbally
  • Driver's license, reliable vehicle you can use for work purposes, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
