LOCATION: West St. Paul, MN. This position is in-person at our corporate office.

HOURS AVAILABLE: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm (must have some flexibility with a schedule based on business need)

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Coordinator will assist with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, perform maintenance of employee benefits as directed, facilitate new hire orientations, complete verifications of employment, and other general Human Resources duties as needed.

OTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Assist with benefits administration: monitor employee eligibility for benefit plans, review benefits with employees, and process enrollments
  • Present new hire orientations
  • Process new hire paperwork, track new hire training documentation, and create personnel files. Run background checks, motor vehicle record checks, OIG database checks, and other required checks on new/existing employees. Follow-up as needed as issues arise
  • Respond to reference checks and wage and employment verifications for current and former employees
  • Maintain all employee and applicant documentation per regulations
  • Maintain a high standard of confidentiality
  • Create packets, organize and archive files, mailings, data entry, and other related tasks
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current county, state, and federal regulations relative to personnel issues
  • Assist employees with HR-related questions
  • Assist with special projects within the HR department as needed
  • Provide backup assistance to the front desk and recruiter as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Some related college experience preferred
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in utilizing computer programs and applications such as word processing and database management
  • Superior organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects at a time, ability to adapt and change plans based on priority shifts
  • Exceptional ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • High levels of integrity, competency, and a sense of urgency
  • Background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally
