Thomas Allen is Hiring a Human Resources Recruiter!

LOCATION: Office in West St. Paul with frequent travel throughout the Twin Cities area and periodic travel to outstate Minnesota and Wisconsin.

HOURS AVAILABLE: 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm with some flexibility to attend recruitment events outside of normal office hours.

JOB SUMMARY: As the Recruiter, you will be responsible for supporting Thomas Allen in the areas of recruiting and retention strategies, internship coordination, and new employee onboarding. You will also perform general HR administrative tasks as assigned.

OTHER DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Create job announcements and post advertisements in conjunction with the Recruitment Strategy
  • Develop and maintain a community presence as an employer of choice in the Twin Cities area on campuses, at workforce centers, and other such organizations
  • Update careers page on the company website and manage multiple online job posting platforms
  • Periodically review and revise Recruitment Strategy and recruitment databases
  • Serve as an active member of the Recruitment and Retention Committee
  • Create effective communications for recruitment and retention needs and activities
  • As needed, screen applicants and conduct initial phone screens and phone interviews with job candidates
  • Create and present reports for analysis
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of current county, state, and federal regulations relative to employment law
  • Conduct training pertaining to recruitment and coordinating periodic events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Some related college experience preferred
  • 1 year of experience with the recruitment process required
  • Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing with management, field employees, outside vendors, and job applicants
  • Ability to utilize computer programs and applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Publisher)
  • Experience with Microsoft Expression Web and basic HTML preferred
  • Experience with social media-based recruitment preferred
  • Ability to work and thrive in a cyclical environment
  • Ability to work and thrive by independently completing tasks to establish and meet deadlines
  • Background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbally

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to perform sedentary work at a computer for extended periods
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
