Thomas Allen is Hiring a Residential Floater Program Manager!

LOCATION: Various homes in Metro area; must be willing to travel to any given assigned group home

HOURS AVAILABLE: 40 hours/week flexible

JOB SUMMARY: As a Residential Floater Program Manager, you will have the primary responsibility of ensuring the smooth operation of all day-to-day activities in your assigned division. Division assignment will change as permanent Program Manager positions become available and/or are filled.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Managing staff in the home, including scheduling, training, assigning duties, reviewing time cards, and conducting staff meetings
  • Communicating and coordinating services and meeting with support teams
  • Coordinating inclusive activities in the home and the community with the individuals served
  • Reviewing and submitting incident and maltreatment reports
  • Complete annual documentation, maintaining files, and monitoring medical services
  • Providing financial oversight of the Household and finances of the individuals served
  • Covering direct care shifts as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must meet the qualifications of a Designated Coordinator:
    • A bachelor's (BA) degree in a field related to human services and 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older
    • OR an associate (AA) degree in a field related to human services and 2 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older
    • OR a diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution and 3 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or person age 65 or older
    • OR a minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and 4 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in 1 to 3 above

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Department of Human Services background clearance
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, acceptable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience managing Community Residential Settings or similar environments
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of 245D statute and licensing requirements

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to commit to and implement person-centered supports
  • Must demonstrate competency in the completion of the above-noted job responsibilities
  • Willingness to attend to personal cares and health needs, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
  • Must be mature, polite, and possess team playing abilities
  • Must possess effective listing skills and strong overall social and communication skills
  • Must be flexible to adapt and handle a variety of situations in different homes within Thomas Allen
  • Must be available to work flexible hours per home need
  • Must be willing to travel to any Thomas Allen Community Residential Home (includes metro area)
