Thomas Allen is Hiring a Program Manager in Scattered Sites!

LOCATION: Office in West St. Paul, MN with frequent travel throughout the Twin Cities

HOURS AVAILABLE: Flexible Monday - Friday 8am 4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY: The Program Manager is responsible for the smooth operation of all day-to-day activities for the Scattered Sites division.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Hiring, supervising, training, coaching, recognizing, and evaluating employees
  • Scheduling, reviewing time cards, reimbursements, and PTO requests
  • Holding regular staff meetings and attending other meetings as requested
  • Maintaining a good working knowledge of each person served by the division
  • Coordinating communication and meetings with support teams
  • Ensuring timely completion and submission of reports
  • Providing direct support to individuals served as needed, including transportation
  • Planning two vacations per year, including budgeting, advertising, making reservations, etc.
  • Being available for phone consultations, emergency on-site intervention, shift coverage, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimally, must meet the qualifications of a Designated Coordinator:
  1. A baccalaureate (BA) degree in a field related to human services and 1 year of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older; OR
  2. An associate (AA) degree in a field related to human services and 2 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older; OR
  3. A diploma in a field related to human services from an accredited post-secondary institution and 3 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or person age 65 or older; OR
  4. A minimum of 50 hours of education and training related to human services and disabilities and 4 years of full-time work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 or older under the supervision of a staff person who meets the qualifications identified in 1 to 3 above
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Demonstrate competency in the completion of the above-noted job responsibilities
  • Background Clearance
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and proof of auto insurance
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate as required by the division
  • Must be mature, polite, competent, and possess team playing abilities, effective listening skills, and strong overall social and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, written and verbally
  • Must complete Thomas Allen's Medication Administration training course and prove competency

Physical Requirements

  • Competently use controlled procedures manual restraint, if needed
  • Perform physical tasks requiring bending at the waist, twisting, lifting, and carrying loads up to 20lbs
  • Provide physical support and guidance to the individuals served in areas of mobility, bathing, and dressing
  • Operate an automobile to transport the individuals served, and/or use public transportation system to transport individuals and perform job duties
  • Provide supervision of the individuals we serve as stipulated in the person's Individual and Program Abuse Prevention Plans, as applicable
  • Stand on feet majority of a shift and go up and down stairs throughout shift, as needed
